I also admire these folks and their ability to balance so much on their tiny vehicles.

Often it’s not even in the bed of a pickup truck but on the back of a motorbike or on the roof of a van. People here in Ghana are so very resourceful – they can move immense loads without the advantage of the vehicles made to carry such loads.
Or even if they do find such a vehicle, it is expertly piled skyward, and like the containers balanced on the top of women’s heads, I am in awe, waiting for everything to slide off – and it doesn’t.
