$7MILLION dollars of Shame on Indiana

Indiana has sent 50 of that state’s national guard to the Texas border for 10 months at the cost of 7 MILLION tax payer dollars.

What could Indiana right now be spending that money on? Indiana is one of the 25 poorest states in the u.s.ofa., ranking 13th. Over 12% of Indiana’s population lives below the national poverty line, and over 20% live 150% below the national poverty line.

So why the hell would they spend $7 dollars to send national guard troops so far away? Especially when immigrants work in nasty steel mills and agricultural industry as well.

In 1910, almost half of all people living in Gary were foreign-born, and 71% were either foreign born themselves or had at least one parent born outside the u.s.ofa.

So why put millions of dollars into preventing the Black and brown immigrants at the border also looking to escape violence and the violence of poverty like almost every white person in Indiana or their recent ancestor?

“Is this a case of “I got mine and fuck you, you’re not going to get yours”?

When I get into my truck, he walks by the driver’s side, still smiling affably, continues down the sidewalk and then returns.

I can’t immediately tell if he’s a shallow salesperson-friendly or a genuine friendly.

SILENCE IS not GOLDEN

I’m too tired from my early morning awakening, my fuel hose repair task, and the past few days preparing – always challenging getting ready for a prolonged road trip – to drive for very long. I try to drive until at least dusk to take the temperature of those traveling north along my beaten path.

I realize I was expecting some kind of strong reaction one way or the other
