Every once in awhile, I get to practice my skills and give myself those proud moments of accomplishment.
This evening is one of those moments.
I need to replace my water filter from my under-the-sink water purifier. It’s not as big a task as replacing my fuel hose but still, I have to remember how to take the unit out from under the tiny sink – right, not much room to work with.
I get my tools from the back of my RRB, figure out which fitting I will unscrew, and attach the pliers to the top and bottom fittings.
I successfully unattach the hose, pull the unit out, and open it. I replace the filter, reattach the housing, and then screw the two brass fittings together.
So now I’ve filtered water and don’t have to buy water. I’m on alert though because I didn’t take the time to fill my large water tank before getting on the road. It was just one more task too many.
I have two water tanks: a larger 25 gallon one and a smaller 15 gallon one. I’m drawing from the large tank until I get to a place where I have time to fill up. In the meantime, if the large one runs out, I just switch over to the smaller one.
