Arizona Sunset at 60 MPH

I can’t help it and I’ll probably kill myself one day trying to capture the most amazing sunsets while driving….not such a great idea but I do it. I should pull over somewhere, get out and take the pics. But I’m on a mission tonite, a veg oil mission and a get to California mission.

I want to go to my home base, pick up the donations I have there for the border, and make it to Washington D.C. before the inauguration of the fascist – for the January 18th Womyn’s March.

I’ve lost track of how many womyn’s marches I’ve been so fortunate to be able to attend – not enough obviously or I could be enjoying my old age, relaxing, writing, reading, doing 1000 piece puzzles and going on 5 mile daily hikes, scouring the reduced produce shelves at the Berkeley Bowl, growing food. I know since MAGA has taken over, those days of focusing on enjoyment are going to be even more infrequent.

But I also enjoy the hell outta a good protest, a brilliant action, or even just standing on the street corner expressing my opinion.

When I get into my truck, he walks by the driver’s side, still smiling affably, continues down the sidewalk and then returns.

I can’t immediately tell if he’s a shallow salesperson-friendly or a genuine friendly.

SILENCE IS not GOLDEN

I’m too tired from my early morning awakening, my fuel hose repair task, and the past few days preparing – always challenging getting ready for a prolonged road trip – to drive for very long. I try to drive until at least dusk to take the temperature of those traveling north along my beaten path.

I realize I was expecting some kind of strong reaction one way or the other
