DAY 4: BEGINS COOLER…

Beautiful Eagle Pass morning! Day 4 begins, cooler this morning..

I set off to walk the mile or two to the bridge where we will cross into Mexico once again, no problem. We have our passports but even more, most of have our white skin so no one questions us or even pays attention, just charges of 50 pesos to enter the bridge.

I will meet up with everyone else in the parking lot right outside the entrance to the bridge, as long as trains are not blocking my way. Coal trains I assume, still ushering coal into the u.s.

On the Mexico side, there’s a perfunctory xray machine for backpacks and a metal detector we walk through but the guards barely acknowledge our presence let alone look at the screen, even when the buzzer goes off.
