Envisioning

I’m envisioning the new message I intend to paint on the back of my RRB, as soon as I get the funds together to replace 4 of the back door panels. I repaint the back only and often, reflecting the current state of our union.

I hate painting over Kamala and my welcome messages in many languages but specifically to Haitian refugees, to counter tRump’s racist accusation (that Kamala couldn’t help laughing at the absurdity) that Haitians were going around eating their non-Haitian neighbors’ pets.

What shall I paint now, there’s soooooooo much to choose from.

Phoebe has agreed to paint the real hands, so no worries re:my very unartistic hands here.

Here is what I’m considerin in case you can’t read my crawl, thanks to the brilliant, inspiring “Hands Off” action last weekend occurring in thousands of locations around the country.

Across the very top of the door I will paint on a slant: oligarchs; tRump; musk; 1 trillion $ cabinet; supreme court; billionaires; tech industrial complex

Then under that:

two hands with “HANDS” printed inside one hand, & “OFF” printed in the other.

Then under that:

OUR Immigrants OUR Diversity OUR Equity

OUR Due Process OUR Free Speech OUR Consitutional Protections

OUR Education. OUR Smithsonian OUR National Parks. OUR Herstory/History

OUR EPA. OUR NOAA OUR Jobs OUR BOOKS

OUR Social Security. OUR Medicare OUR Womyn’s Rights

Then centered in big letters:

O U R D E M O C R A C Y

We RISE. We RESIST. We FIGHT. We WIN

I know there’s many more things we demand hands off but I’ve limited space.

I welcome thoughts, comments, feedback. Also if you want to help me get this message around the country, I also welcome cash! I need to replace 4 of the 6 panels in this back door that cost $150 each in materials and $150 each in labor. Grrrrrr

PEE, COKE, AND VIDEO

My RRB has already been peed on, had a cup of coffee or soda thrown onto the “Mujeres Creciendo La Paz” side so far this trip. But at least my windshield is in tact as are all 6 of my tires. So maybe MAGA’s violence has diminished.

ENCOUNTERING THE MAGA OTHER

I have my first lengthy discussion this morning as I’m preparing to get on the road again. As I walk to the bathroom and back again, I notice a friendly-appearing older white man watching me. When I get into my truck, he walks by the driver’s side, still smiling affably, continues down the sidewalk and then returns.

I can’t immediately tell if he’s a shallow salesperson-friendly or a genuine friendly.

SILENCE IS not GOLDEN

I’m too tired from my early morning awakening, my fuel hose repair task, and the past few days preparing – always challenging getting ready for a prolonged road trip – to drive for very long. I try to drive until at least dusk to take the temperature of those traveling north along my beaten path.

I realize I was expecting some kind of strong reaction one way or the other
