It’s with this heavy heart and furious thoughts, DHS (department of homeland security) ICE agents are at the SFO Airport.
I followed two of them around. They were joined by two more.
I saw two sfpd community assistance uniforms & decided to approach them. One of them tried to defend both the “nice” ice agents, their jobs, and claimed that ice has been here patrolling for at least four years.
They both seemed so sure, I had to trust my eyes and not their lies.
I am frequently at this airport, meeting people, sending them off, if not flying out and into here myself.
The ONLY time I’ve known of ICE presence has been since tRump took office.
I researched & four sites confirmed ICE presence began March 2025.
I reported these ICE agents to SF Rapid Response who told me they’ve been aware & tracking ice presence at the airport, speculating they’re after workers here.
I hate to stop trailing them but today I’ve a flight to catch.
When I get to my gate, there’s a long list of names of people on the screen that have to come show their passports.
The gate agent keeps announcing that in order to board this plane, they have to show their passports.
Another thing I’ve never seen – I’ve heard a name or two called from the podium but never have seen a whole list on the screen.
My name is not on the list but I do have my passport!
